FOX 13 (KSTU)
I direct the Weekend Good Day Utah morning newscasts (currently, usually the 8 AM).
I am also back up to other directors on other days of the week.
I use Ross Overdrive and ENPS to code the automation for the newscasts.
I also serve as a news photographer, and am well-versed in editing and studio technician duties.
September 2017 – December 2017
News Intern
ABC Good4Utah (KTVX)
I helped write scripts for the evening newscasts Monday-Wednesday.
I also shadowed the reporters, producers, and photographers to learn
good practices, and how I could help with the different aspects of a newsroom.
March 2017 – June 2018
Director
KBYU ElevenNEWS
I would help design a newscast and then type in codes onto AP ENPS.
I would then help conduct a run through of that day’s stories and fix any errors.
Last, I would direct the newscast and adapt to any technical problems that arose.

I would help clean rooms in a variety of ways, occasionally training others
and being given some leadership duties when others were unavailable.

I was often put in charge of closing the front of the store, and making things tidy.

I would also operate the cameras and make sure that anchors/reporters
were in the correct positions.

I organized files on the network to make sure they were easy to find.

Full-Time Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
From 6:30 AM to 9:30 PM, I would plan, study, and teach the doctrine of the LDS Church.
This taught me effective communication skills, good work ethic, and time management.
It also taught me to value good principles and values, as well as a respect for
views contrary to my own.
